Chris Maguire’s late penalty earned National League side Eastleigh an FA Cup third round replay with League Two side Newport County.
James Clarke fired Newport ahead on 56 minutes after George Langston had been sent off for the Spitfires before half time.
But Maguire scored from the penalty spot after Clarke brought down Paul McCallum to earn Eastleigh a draw
The two teams will meet in a replay at Silverlake Stadium later this month.
