- Ten Hag and Sancho are embroiled in a feud as the winger refuses to go back down
Jadon Sancho hides his face on arriving for his isolated training at Manchester United’s mothership on Friday morning after being banned from first-team practice.
Pictures show him arriving at the club’s Carrington training center lifting his chin with his mirror lowered so as to hide the rest of his face.
The 23-year-old has refused to apologize for his public fall-out with manager Erik ten Hag and the feud has only intensified as a result.
United released a statement yesterday announcing that Sancho would be forced to train alone due to a ‘squad discipline issue’.
It follows his social media post claiming that Ten Hag’s critical comments about his training performances were ‘completely untrue’.
Ten Hag is set to speak later today and will no doubt be asked about a saga which threatens to further derail United’s tumultuous start to the season, with the problems surrounding Mason Greenwood and Antony casting the club in a gloomy light.

The winger has had a cataclysmic fall-out with Erik ten Hag, with the manager criticizing his training performances before Sancho said he was used as a ‘scapegoat’
United’s statement read: ‘Jadon Sancho will remain on a personal training program away from the first-team group pending resolution of a squad discipline issue.’
Ten Hag is still furious that Sancho, who signed for £73million in 2021, effectively branded him a liar for saying he was left out of the squad to face Arsenal because of his lacklustre training performances.
Sancho had appeared off the bench in each of United’s first three matches this season but was left out completely at the Emirates.
The mega-money flop’s future at United looks in huge doubt after Ten Hag’s blunt words when explaining why the player was not involved in the defeat to the Gunners, saying: ‘Jadon, on his performances in training we did not select him.
In response, Sancho posted on social media: ‘Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people to say things that are completely untrue. I have conducted myself in training very well this week.
‘I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into, I’ve been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair!

Ten Hag claimed the winger was dropped for his ‘training performance’, which Sancho denies
‘All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to the team. I respect all decisions that are made by the coaching staff, I play with fantastic players and I am grateful to do so, which I know every week is a challenge. I will continue to fight for this badge no matter what!’
Al-Ettifaq were interested in taking the ex-Borussia Dortmund star on loan after his verbal jousting with Ten Hag but their bid was rebuffed after they failed to meet United’s asking price.
It’s understood that the Saudi Pro League club and United were in contact through intermediaries over Sancho who expressed an interest in moving to the Middle East.
But although United were prepared to let the 23-year-old join Ettifaq on loan for the rest of the season for free, the deal included an obligation to buy him for £50million which the Dammam-based club simply couldn’t afford.
Meanwhile, Antony remains completely exiled from training after allegations of abuse.
DJ and influencer Gabriela Cavallin said he had assaulted her on four occasions and then other women have come forward with accusations.
The 23-year-old footballer has agreed to a leave of absence from the Premier League club to give him time to defend himself against the claims.
He has not been arrested or charged but faces separate UK and Brazilian police investigations.
