He added that Boateng’s expulsion was a call made by the head coach and the German-born Boateng had support from his teammates behind the scenes.

Gyan’s version of the story contradicted Boateng’s story with the latter stating that clash was at a meeting with the team’s leaders including then GFA President Kwasi Nyantakyi.
