My brother Alan Kyerematen has put his thoughts and feelings on paper – Boakye Agyarko
The former trade & industry minister and a member of the ruling government New Patriotic Party (NPP) Hon. Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen on Monday 25th September tendered his resignation letter to the NPP as a member of the party which generated a thought to many Ghanaians, especially the NPP supporters. The party NPP yesterday responded to some allegations made by Mr Alan Kyerematen, some party faithful are still talking about the exit of the former Trade & Industry minister Mr Alan Kyeremateng.
The former minister for Energy Hon. Boakye Agyarko Kyeremanteng has also spoken, he put a write-up on his Twitter handle to advise the party NPP. He said, The unfortunate departure of Alan Kyerematen from
Our ranks must serve a necessary and sufficient
notice to us all and lead us to a time of deep
introspection rather than a time for gloating or the
display of triumphalist arrogance.
The history of our tradition must teach us that the
consequences of events such as has now befallen us
since the heady days of 1951 date have always
been negative and have cast a deep and lingering
shadow on our electoral fortunes.
At least, my brother Kyerematen has put his
thoughts and feelings on paper for all to appreciate.
How about the many who harbor similar and maybe
more petulant sentiments in their hearts but are not
openly expressing the same. There are many in our party
today who have, out of dismay, resigned from their
hearts and are only waiting to walk away from us at
the ballot box.
Now is the time to smoothen ruffled feathers and
assuage wounded sentiments across the length and
breath of our party. Now is the time to examine
ourselves if indeed we are true and faithful to the
tenets and values of the UP tradition or we have
metamorphosed into an ugly shadow of what we
should be. These must become an urgent task
ahead of us.
